History of Sector

Sector was founded in 1991 in the UK to provide consultancy and software solutions to the public sector.

In 2002 the UK government announced a number of pilot Choice Based Letting schemes. Sector took on the biggest of these pilots in West London, with a waiting list of 120,000 households and over 10,000 lettings a year. Going live on time and in budget, it's success led it to be adopted across more than 200 organisations. Some have been large organisations but some are small such as a charity providing housing to 25 disabled ex-servicemen.

Sector is also doing projects involving CRM, homelessness prevention, supported housing, and access to employment.
